How to find WiFi Extender IP address

Want to change your WiFi extender’s password or update its settings, but have no clue how to log into it? Don’t worry, you just need its IP address. Here are three super easy ways to find it in less than a minute. In this video, we use TP Link AC750 Range Extender or RE540 as example.

Method 1: The Connected Devices List.

Login your main router. See, your extender gets its IP directly from your main router. Just open your router’s app or log into its web dashboard, look for the Connected Devices or Device List, and find your extender’s name. The IP address will be listed right next to it!

Method 2: The Desktop Command (For PC/Mac)

Method two is for the computer users. If you’re on Windows, open Command Prompt and type arp -a, then hit enter. On a Mac, open Terminal and type the same thing. This pulls up a list of all IP addresses on your network. Look for the physical MAC address that matches the sticker on the back of your extender.

Once you have that IP, just type it straight into your web browser’s URL bar, hit enter, and boom—you’re in the settings! If this helped you out, drop a like, hit follow, and I’ll see you in the next one!

Red Light on Your Tesla Charger? Don’t Panic

1. Check the Tesla screen for an error message

Your car will usually tell you exactly what went wrong (e.g., “Charge cable fault,” “Ground fault,” “High temperature,” etc.).

2. Unplug and re‑plug the connector

A loose or misaligned connector can trigger a red light.

  • Remove the cable
  • Wait 5 seconds
  • Plug it back in firmly until you hear/feel the latch click

3. Inspect the charge port & connector

Look for:

  • Dirt, debris, or water
  • Bent pins
  • Damage on the cable
  • Ice (in winter)

If anything looks off, try a different charger.

4. Reset the charging source

Tesla recommends this if no specific fault appears. service.tesla.com

If using:

For Mobile Connector, Unplug from the wall and then •Plug back in.

  • Unplug from the wall
  • Wait 10 seconds
  • Plug back in
  • Check the indicator lights on the brick

For Wall Connector, reset circuit breaker

  • Flip the circuit breaker OFF
  • Wait 10–15 seconds
  • Turn it back ON

5. Unlock the Port. Stop the session or click “Unlock Charge Port” from your Tesla’s main touchscreen or your phone app to release the electronic lock.

Try a different charging cable or station

If another charger works, your original cable or outlet is the problem.

6. Power cycle the car

Tesla suggests this if the fault persists. service.tesla.com

On the touchscreen:
Controls → Safety → Power Off → wait 2 minutes → press brake to restart
