How to factory reset an iPad?

Alternative: Hard Reset (Force Restart)

If your iPad is unresponsive, you can force restart it:

  • For iPads with Face ID: Press and release Volume Up, then Volume Down, then hold the Power button until the Apple logo appears.
  • For iPads with Home Button: Hold Power + Home button together until the Apple logo appears.
