How to check hardware connection and configuration. 

1. Verify the NIC configured correctly and working properly. Does the NIC have the green light?

2. Check the NIC and switch/hub/router configuration. Some NIC may not work a switch or router with 100MB/Full Duplex. Setup 100MB (10MB)/Half Duplex may solve this issue. To do this, open Control Panel, System, Device Manager. Go to the properties of the Network card, click on the Advanced tab and find the Link Speed and Duplex section. Change it from Auto Detect to 100MB (10MB)/Half Duplex.

3. Reset switch or router.

4. Assign IP to the NIC manually.

5. Remove the drivers and the card and reinstall.

6. Update the NIC drive.
