Situation: The client has a general accounting email address. Accounting mailbox doesn’t show any emails. Message trace shows the status of all emails is Resolved.
Troubleshooting: 1. If status shows Resolved, it could be the email address could be forwarded to someone else. By the way, If the mailbox receives emails, trace message should show Delivered.
Resolution 4: It could be add-ins issue. Go to Outlook add-in Adobe Send & Track for Microsoft Outlook – Acrobat. Disabling it.
Resolution 5: Enable Exchange cached mode.
Resolution 6: That happens because you may have a large email size so that you must wait a moment for the sync completed.
Resolution 7: This seems to be a problem only with IMAP accounts.
I fixed my problem on the IMAP account (which, ahem, started after a Microsoft update) by using Outlook’s “repair” tool:
– In Outlook, right click on the mailbox in the left-side navigation bar.
– Choose “Account Properties.”
– In a blue toolbar about 1/3 of the way down the window, “Repair” is one of the choices.
– Click Repair. It only took about 5 seconds.
If you move the emails and receive this popup,
Open Outlook > File > Options > Mail > Under Conversation Clean up, Uncheck When a reply modifies a message, don’t move the original > Restart Outlook (it is is already unchecked, check it Restart Outlook, Uncheck it and Restart Outlook)
If above doesn’t work, uncheck all options under Conversation Clean Up
Account Settings > Open your account > More settings > Under Advanced tab, put INBOX in Root Folder Path. (If your all folders disappear, simply remove INBOX from here). Note: Do NOT use option # 3 above. With an IMAP account this will empty an entire folder! Really, REALLY dumb suggestion that cost me a ton of data!
Select Cleaned up items will go to this folder.
This is a known issue with IMAP accounts. The change (read state) needs to sync with the server before you can move it, which only takes a split second, but outlook keeps a hold on the message until you switch messages.
Situation: The client has Veeam backup running on a Windows server. They keep receiving this warning: Host is unreachable. Cannot connect to servername Details: Failed to call RPC function ‘EpAgentCollectSystemInfo’: Error code: 0x80041013. Cannot query class instance from enumerator object. [WMI] Failed get next object in collection.
Troubleshooting: We find the client has a Veeam agent backup. However, the VM has been migrated to another host.
Resolution: Remove it from the Physical & Cloud Infrastructure and then uninstall the VM. if that doesn’t fix the problem, you may want to restart all Veeam services.
Situation: when running Relius, you may receive this Error in ProcessManualMode: Component ‘Tab32x30.ocx’ or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid.
Resolution: Unregister and re-register all *.ocx files by running C:\Program Files (x86)\Relius\Admin\REGUNREG.EXE
Situation: When running RegSvr32 mamask32.ocx, you may receive this message: The module “msmask32.ocx” may not be compatible with the version of Windows that you are running.
Resolution: Copy mamask32.ocx from a good computer to c:\Windows\Syswow64. Then run this command:
Problem: Using Outlook, people can send email. However, they can’t send email using the same email address on a scanner or a network device. Here are some of resolutions.
Note 1: We assume you enter correct email address and password. The issue is related to security settings or system configuration.
Note 2: These resolutions based on troubleshooting Kyocera Printer/Scanner.
Resolution 1: Make sure SMTP port number is correct if you receive a “Connection” error.
Case 1: SMTP port number should be 25 when Authentication Protection and SMTP Security is off. The client put 587 as SMTP port number.
This is correct port number 25 with authentication and security off as shown below.
Case 2: SMTP port number should be 587 when Authentication Protection and SMTP Security (STARTTLS) is on. The client put 25 as SMTP port number.
This is correct port number 587 with authentication and security on as shown next page.
Resolution 2: Make sure you have correct Security settings If you receive a “Server” error
Or Authentication error.
Case 1: It could be Authentication Protocol is off when you use SMTP port 587 and SMTP Security is on. This is the correct settings .
This is incorrect settings.
Case 2: It could be SMTP Security (Protocol STARTTLS) is off when you use SMTP port 587 and Authentication Protocol is on.
This is incorrect settings.
Case 3: It could be Office 365 blocks the scanner/device.
In many cases, using port 25 without security, you may not be able to send email. Make sure select port 587, enable Authentication Protocol and SMTP Security (Protocol STARTTLS) shown below.
Resolution 3: Use your personal email to test or use a less secure email address.
