Situation: The user has a Windows 7 computer. Whenever she uses an application such browser, check email, it shuts down.

Troubleshooting: We find many USB devices are plugging into the computer. Unplugging most USB devices except keyboard and mouse, it works.

1. We fix the problem by installing those USB new drivers.
2. Also, you can try to customize Power Settings.

• Type “power options” in Search and click the “Power & sleep settings” result.
•  Click “Additional power settings” under Related settings on the right pane.
• In the Power Options window, find and click the “Change when the computer sleeps” option on the left pane.
• Click “Change advanced power settings”.
• expand the “Hard disk” and “Turn off hard disk after” sections and make sure that both “On battery” and “Plugged in” are set to “Never”. If these settings are configured differently and there is no “Never” option, then simply type 0 and it will change to Never. Now expand the “Sleep” and “Sleep” after sections and make sure that both “On battery” and “Plugged in” are also set to “Never”. Click “Apply” to save the changes.

3. In another case, we find the CPU cooler lost from CPU. Since the CPU is hot without cooler, it will shutdown in every 10 minutes.

Situation: You may receive “The specified module could not be found” error when you are running an application in Windows.

Troubleshooting: 1. Run System File Checker which may fix corrupted system files. You must run SFC command sfc /scannow as administrator.

2. Repair the application.

3. Scan any virus or malware.

Situation: The user can’t copy/paste in any document or anywhere in windows. Not matter using a mouse or keyboard shortcuts. The copy option is there. But the paste option is grayed out. Once data is copied both options are grayed out. If restarting the computer. Copy/paste works fine but after 10 mins the paste option again gets grayed out.

Troubleshooting: Fix corrupted or missing system files by running sfc. Here is how.

1. In Search bar, type in CMD right-click and click on “Run as an administrator”.
2. Type in: sfc /scannow, press Enter.
4. Type in: DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth, press enter.
6. Restart your computer and test.

Situation: We have got a lot reports that Outlook opens and closes right away after Windows 10 updates.

Also Outlook or Office repair takes forever. It doesn’t fix the problem. outlook.exe /safe has the same problem.

Troubleshooting: 1. Uninstall update KB4565483, KB4565633, KB4565503

2. Install KB4560960.

3. Roll back Microsoft Office to latest June 2020 release. To do that, please follow these steps:

• Open a command prompt by typingCMD in search bar. Click on ‘Command Prompt’ .
• In the command prompt type cd "\Program Files\Common Files\microsoft shared\ClickToRun" and press enter.
• You will now be in the ClickToRun folder. Type officec2rclient.exe /update user updatetoversion=16.0.12827.20470 and press enter.
• Microsoft Office is downloading the previous version of Microsoft Office.. It may take a few minutes to complete.
• When the roll back complete, you will see a screen stating ‘Updates were installed.’ You can press the Close button on this screen.
• Now, you ca test the Outlook.

3. Downlead ODT. Download Office Deployment Tool from Official Microsoft  and re-install.

Microsoft 365 Admin Centers have alerts about this issue. This is the message on the Active Investigation page:

“There is a new symptom of Outlook is crashing on launch starting 7/15.   A fix has been published but will take time to propagate to worldwide availability.   Outlook will automatically look for the fix on launch, so if this issue persists through multiple launches please use Outlook Web Access for an hour then try again.   

If this issue persists beyond four hours please contact Microsoft Support by whichever means works best for you.”

Also, inside the 365 Admin Center, we were given this ETA: “Estimated time to resolve: We expect this issue to be completely resolved for all affected users by July 15, 2020 at 9:30 PM UTC.”

Situation: In Outlook drag and drop no longer works. The only way to move an email into a folder, you must use cut and past.

Situation: The client is running Veeam backup. It has a problem. When they try to stop the Veeam Backup service, it is stopping forever.

Troubleshooting: If you wait for a while and press F5, it may stop. However, in some cases, if is never stops, you can use command line taskkill /f /pid [PID] to kill it. Here is how.

1. Find out the Service Name by going in to services and double click on the service which has stuck.  Write down the “Service Name”, for example VeeamBackupSvc in this case.

2. Find out the PID of the service by opening an elevated command prompt and type in: sc queryex servicename, for example

sc queryex VeeamBackupSvc

Write down the PID, 0 in this example.

3. Kill the PID by running this command taskkill /f /pid [PID], in this example

taskkill /f /pid 0

4. If it is successful you should receive the following message:

SUCCESS: The process with PID 0 has been terminated.

Situation: You have a problem to uninstall Windows update by following these steps:

Resolution: You an option to uninstall Windows Update by using command prompt. Here is the example to uninstall KB:4561608.
1. Type cmd in the search box.

2. Right click on Command prompt and run as administrator.
3. A black screen will open.
5. Type the following command after replacing the KB ID with the one that you wish to uninstall: wusa /uninstall /kb:[id]
6. For example: wusa /uninstall /KB:4561608
7. Once done typing hit enter.

Situation: The printer can’t print. Installing latest printer driver doesn’t fix the problem.

Troubleshooting: Option 1. This is a known printing issue and Microsoft have downloads may fix the problem:
