Failed to install .Net Framework 3.5 in Windows 2012 - Resolution with screenshots

Situation: When attempting to install .NET Framework 3.5 Feature in Windows 2012, you may get feature installation failed message as shown below.

Resolution: You may need to specify an alternate source path. To do that, click on Specify an alternate source path when you are in Confirm installation selections.

The path could be a local drive or remote shared drive, for example d:\sources\sxs.
