Troubleshooting HP NIC Teaming Tips

  1. Load the Windows latest service pack and HP drivers for NIC.

  2. You may need to install HP latest Support Pack too.

  3. Use dynamic IP addresses before configuring the NIC teaming. Then assign static IP after the NIC teaming works.

  4. It is better to have these NICs connecting to the same switches.

  5. If Large Send Offload (LSO) is enabled, some NICs can only team in Microsoft Operating Systems with another same NIC. If LSO is disabled, most HP NIC can team with all of HP ProLiant NC-Series NICs without problems.

  6. Check for either mismatched speed/duplex settings or auto speed duplex on one or all links. Make sure using the same speed on both sides for all links.

  7. Check the switch configuration to see that the channeling is configured.
