Event ID – 5723 - The session setup from the computer <computer name> failed

The session setup from the computer <computer name> failed because there is no trust account in the security database for this computer. The name of the account referenced in the security database is <computer name>$. 

Troubleshooting and resolutions:

  1. The computer account that had been and become invalid. Remove and re-join the computer to the domain
  2. The computer account that had been added to the domain but the domain controller was restored to an earlier point in time. Remove and re-join the computer to the domain
  3. The computer was added to the NT domain using NetBIOS name. After upgraded to Windows 2003 Active Directory, the WINS records were damaged. Check the name resolution in the domain.
  4. The computer has not joined the domain properly or the account is corrupted.
  5. It could be the firewall issue. Disable the firewall.
  6. It also could be the name resolution issue. Check the DNS and WINS settings.
