Troubleshooting Event ID 4057 and 4113
The Microsoft Exchange Replication service encountered an unexpected error in log replay
Error: Passive copy 'database name' is not in a good state. Status: Failed

Situation: We are running 2 Exchange 2010 servers for redundancy. After restoring an mailbox by creating Recovery Database and running this command “New-MailboxRestoreRequest –SourceStoreMailbox “S S” –SourceDatabase RDB1 –TargetMailbox “bob lin” –AllowLegacyDNMismatch –BadItemLimit 1000”. The standby mail server keeps logging Event ID 4057 and 4113 as listed here:

Resolution: The database in the standby may be damaged or have connectivity issue. Make sure you have a good connection and then do update database copy. Please refer to these pages.
