Hyper-V Boot Failed: Failed Secure Boot Verification - Resolution with screenshots

Situation: The client tries to create a Windows 7 VM on Windows 2012 R2 Hyper-V. When he starts the VM, he receives this message: Hyper-V Boot Failed: EFT SCSI Device.  Failed Secure Boot Verification.

Cause: If you chose the Gen 2 VM for Windows 7, you will receive this message. Gen 2 VM only supports Win8/Win2012 or greater. To install a Windows 7, 2008 or previous version as VM you have to chose the Gen 1 VM.
