Failed to power on with error "The system cannot find the path specified" - Resolution with screenshots

Situation: The client has Windows 2008 R2 with Hyper-V enabled. When attempting to start the VM, it get these messages:

An error occurred while attempting to start the selected virtual machine(s) and Failed to power on with error "The system cannot find the path specified"

Troubleshooting: The VM is located in D drive, which is the SAN connecting through iSCSI. The host has a NIC problem to connect to the SAN. After fixing the NIC problem, iSCSI can communicate with the SAN and we can start he VM.
