DNS errors 4513 and 4514 Q: Could anyone please help. I had one Win2k3 DC on my site. I added another win2k3 server and later promoted it to a DC using DC promo. Then i demoted the old DC using dcpromo. Now the event log of my new DC fills up with a recurring DNS errors 4015. This is then followed by DNS errors 4513 and 4514. The server wont replicate with the other in the domain. I use single domain with multiple sites. I am new to Active Directory, DNS,etc. Does anyone have an idea of what could have gone wrong and how to solve my problem. A: Normally, if there are two DNS in the LAN, you will setup primary DNS and 2nd DNS servers point to each other as primary and themselves as secondary. If you have two or more DNS servers in different locations, you will setup primary DNS and 2nd DNS servers point to themselves as primary and each other as secondary. Related Topics
