Cannot remove Failover Clustering
Cluster ... not found
Event ID: 1289, 4683, and 7024.


Symptoms: 1. When trying to remove the cluster, you may receive Cannot remove Failover Clustering message as shown below.

2. When attempting to manage a cluster, you may receive "Cluster ... not found" message.

3. In the Event Viewer, you may see these Event ID: 4683, 1289, and 7024.

Event ID:      4683
Description: Failover Cluster Manager failed while managing one or more cluster. The error was 'Cannot access cluster CBGExch2.chicagobotanic.org. The cluster service is not running.  Make sure that the service is running on all nodes in the cluster.'. For more information see the Failover Cluster Manager Diagnostic channel.

Event ID:      1289
Description: The Cluster Service was unable to access network adapter 'Microsoft Failover Cluster Virtual Miniport'. Verify that other network adapters are functioning properly and check the device manager for errors associated with adapter 'Microsoft Failover Cluster Virtual Miniport'. If the configuration for adapter 'Microsoft Failover Cluster Virtual Miniport' has been changed, it may become necessary to reinstall the failover clustering feature on this computer.
