When attempting to join a client to a SBS 2003 using http://servername/connectcomputer , you may receive this error: "The list of users and computers could not be found on the server. make sure that the small business server network adapters are configured correctly". 2. When trying to join to a SBS domain, you may receive this error: The Following error occurred attempting to join domain "domianname": windows cannot find the network path. Cause: This is generally caused by incorrect client PC settings. Use ipconfig /all to check the TCP/IP settings. Or ping the SBS FQDN. Case 1: The workstation was setup using static IP with a incorrect DNS IP. Case 2: The wireless laptop was assign IP and DNS from wireless router. It is recommended to use SBS DHCP and DNS. Case 3: The client was assigned the ISD DNS. Changing to the internal DNS works fine. Case 4: The workstation had SBS DNS as preferred DNS and ISP DNS as Alternative DNS. You should not configure the ISP DNS IP address on the client computers. Removing the ISP DNS, it works fine. Related Topics
