Troubleshooting SBS issues using
CEICW
In the following cases, use CEICW
(Configure Email and
Internet Connection Wizard) may fix the
problems.
Case 1:
The client just replaced a router that is connecting to the Internet. The
server could access the Internet but clients. Note: You should run CEICW if
you change any network devices
such as add, replace, or upgrade NIC driver on SBS.
Case 2:
After re-configured the exchange, the client can’t send emails. Note:
Whenever you cannot send/receive e-mails, or
you make changes on Exchange,
you should run CEICW first.
Case 3:
The client installed SBS 2003 and the server could access the Internet but
clients.
Case 4:
After the client upgraded the SP, no one could logon the domain.
Case 5:
The SBS Event Viewer shows Event ID 5775 DNS deregistration errors are
generated when a domain controller cannot unregister an individual resource
record.
Case 6:
After the client enabled VPN via RRAS, they experienced some internet access
issues. Note: You should run CEICW when
you want to create or make
changes to the firewall, Terminal Services, Remote Web Workplaces, and VPN.
