Second RDS session takes over first session when using the same account to login - Resolution with screenshots

Situation: The client is running RDS In Windows Server 2008 R2. When they use the same user account to login multiple Thin Clients, the second session take over the first session.

Resolution: changing a registry key by following these steps:

1. Run regedit
2. Navigate to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\TerminalServer.

3. Double click on fSingleSessionPerUser. Note: If the fSingleSessionPerUser value doesn’t exist, create a new DWORD value named fSingleSessionPerUser
4. Change the default value from 1 to 0.
0×0 Allow multiple sessions per user
0×1 Force each user to a single session
5. Close the registry and test it without reboot the server.
