A new console session cannot be established

Symptom: The client used to be able to access the remote computer running XP Pro using Remote Desktop Connection. After installing SP2, he receive this error “The client not connect. You are already connected to the console of this console of this computer. A new console session cannot be established”.

Resolution: Install the Update for Windows XP Service Pack 2 (KB884020) package, which is available for download from the Microsoft Download Center: Download the Update for Windows XP Service Pack 2 (KB884020) package now.
