Access denied when adding an IP printer in Windows 2008 - Resolution with screenshots

Situation: the Client login a domain admin account to Windows Server 2008 and try to add an IP printer. He receives Access is denied message.

Cause and resolution: Even he login a domain admin account, but he doesn't have right to add local printer. There are many options to fix it.

1. Login domain/local administrator account to add the local printer.

2. Add the user account to building-in administrators group.

3. Right click on Add Printer and select Run as administrator.
