Situation: After upgrading Backup Exec 2010 R2 to R3, you may receive this message when backing up: Backup Exec cannot connect to the remote agent because a trust relationship was not established between the remote agent and the media server.

Resolution: 1. Install the remote agent on the server you backup.

2. If resolution 1 doesn't work, open the backup job and click each server. If you receive Remote Agent Not Trusted popup, click Yes. That should fix the problem.
