Symantec Backup Exec Device Offline
Backup Exec V-79-57344-33035 - Error - Mount failed.
Backup Exec error: Physical Volume Library Drive not found.
Backup Exec Final error: 0xe0000f16 - The operation failed to acquire the minimum number of drives and media needed.

Situation: The client is running Symantec Backup Exec 2010 R2 with two devices. The Backup Exec gets these message in the log on one of devices and can't do the backup:
Backup Exec V-79-57344-33035 - Error - Mount failed.
Backup Exec error: Physical Volume Library Drive not found.
Backup Exec Final error: 0xe0000f16 - The operation failed to acquire the minimum number of drives and media needed.

Also whenever they reboot the backup server or restart the Backup Exec services, the device shows offline. However, other device doesn't have this issue.

Troubleshooting: 1. Install Symantec drivers instead of Microsoft driver for the devices.
2. Upgrade the device drivers.
3. Make sure it has good connection. In our case, the working device is first device connecting to the server. The premedical device is connecting to the first device. Re-connecting the second device to the first device fixes the problem.
4. We had a case. The client has a backup Library with two drives, but they have only one the License for library extension. They need to buy one more library license or disable one of drives.
