CRM: remote server returned an error: (404) Not Found

Postby guest » Thu May 07, 2009 8:44 am

Q: I am getting this error on CRM 4.0. I am trying to configure the mail
router. This is the error that I get when I click Test Access in the Email
Router configuration manager->User queues and forward mailboxes tab. I am
certain the mailboxes are there.

Incoming Status: Failure - The remote Microsoft Exchange e-mail server
returned the error "(404) Not Found". This user or queue does not have a
mailbox. Create a mailbox and try again. The remote server returned an
error: (404) Not Found.

A: Please check if the following conditions are true;

1.> The users for which you are getting this error has email router enabled.

a.> Open that particular user from CRM (setting-->user-->double click
that user).
b.> Check what is mentioned under Email Access Configuration (we need
to have email router
selected there).

2.> Access that users mailbox at least once.
3.> Make sure that the exchange server name is mentioned properly in the
Incoming configuration
(http://exchangeserver or https://exchangeserver).
4.> Make sure that if you are specifying any user account in the
configuration; that A/c should have
full access on the users mailbox.

Try with these steps and update me with the results.

I change the incoming configuration to https://exchangeserver and that fixed
the problem.
