After installing SP3, networking no longer works

Postby guest » Fri Oct 17, 2008 9:44 pm

Both the wired and wireless cannot get IP address from
DHCP server. If I misunderstand anything, please feel free to let me know.

Analysis:
=============
The root cause can be various for such problem.
1) your DHCP Client service stops, and you lost permission to run DHCP
Client service after installing SP3.
2) wired and wireless NIC driver have problem.
3) your DHCP server has problem.

Troubleshooting:
=============
1. Please check if your DHCP Client service stop:
1) Start -> Run -> services.msc
2) Then in service console, navigate to DHCP Client
3) Check the status of this service. If it is stopped, please try if you
can manually start it.

2. If DHCP Client service can run, please check your network adapter status.
1) Check if network card drivers are well. Computer -> Manage -> Device
Manager -> Network Adapters. Please let me know the status of wired and
wireless network cards is good.
2) Check if you can ping 127.0.0.1
