Q & A: Linksys wireless adaptor issue in Vista

Postby chicagotech » Wed Feb 07, 2007 5:58 pm

Q: I have exactly the same problem. I just upgraded to Vista Home Premium, and I cannot connect to Internet using my Linksys wireless adaptor. Vista always starts two connections, even though I only have one adaptor active. The diagnotic message indicates that I have two active network connections. I cannot get rid of the second one that Vista starts every time I enable my wireless adaptor.

A: I don't know if you solved this problem yet. I had the exact same
problem and finally figured it out. I disabled all network adapters
through "Control Panel / Hardware and Sound" except for my linksys
wireless adapter. Finally I have just one active network connection,
the unidentified network disappeared, and I connected to the Internet.
