We had a case. Th client tried to map a remote computer shared drive using \\10.0.0.1\z$. He receives Error Code 0x80070035 network path not found. The problem is he types a wrong Ip address. It should be 10.0.0.11.

I had the similar case. When I bring my laptop to my client site, I want to share some files in my laptop. They may see my laptop in the network. When click on my laptop, they get access is denied the error code is 0x80070035. They can ping my IP address, but If they run net view or net use command, for example net use \\mylaptop. they get system error 53.

There are some situations: 1. Make sure you don't using VPN to access your VPN server when you want to share your laptop with others.
2. If you have both wired and wireless, it is prefer to use the wired only.
