Postby blin » Fri Dec 02, 2011 9:00 pm

I am running windows 2008 server with the NPS role installed. Everyting works just lovely.

I export the config, and import it to my new Domain Controller runnign Windows 2008 R2 and I get this error message:

Log Name: System
Source: NPS
Date: 9/14/2010 10:31:21 AM
Event ID: 4402
Task Category: None
Level: Error
Keywords: Classic
User: N/A
Computer: DC1.cleverdevices.com
Description:
There is no domain controller available for domain CLEVER_HOME.COM.
Event Xml:
<Event xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/win/2004/08/events/event">
<System>
<Provider Name="NPS" />
<EventID Qualifiers="49152">4402</EventID>

This is very odd since its running on a DC.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Here is a snippet from teh NPS log as well:

"DC1","IAS",09/14/2010,00:00:56,1,"CLEVER_HOME.COM\CTiller","CLEVER_HOME.COM\CTiller","00-11-93-34-c7-40:CDWireless","00-21-5c-58-be-85",,,"Cisco_b2:85:23","192.168.11.237",1,9,"192.168.11.237","Cisco_b2:85:23",,,19,,,2,5,,0,"311 1 192.168.10.17 09/13/2010 16:19:34 1237",,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,13,6,,,,"1",,,,,,,,,,,"NAP 802.1X (Wireless)",1,,,,

the error message state already the problem, current domain is "cleverdevices.com" and the export is from "CLEVER_HOME.COM".

So please describe more details about the domain name change or what else you have done before.
