Can't change properties or delete any wireless network

Postby guest » Thu Mar 10, 2011 4:15 pm

Hi all,

I can't change the properties or delete any wireless network registered in my laptop. I get an error message: "Windows has encountered a error saving the wireless profile. Specific error: Access is denied".

I use Windows 7 Professional, logged in as an administrator. I've updated the wireless drivers but that didn't help.

Because of this problem I can't connect to a wireless network whose password was changed. When trying to change the password through Network and Sharing Center -> Manage wireless networks, I get the above message. I also tried to delete the network but could not, just nothing happens, there is no error message but the network is not deleted.

Can anybody help please?

You may want to try reset the wireless router or this post may help: Fixed: "Error Saving the wireless profile" - http://www.chicagotech.net/netforums/vi ... 09&start=0
