How to save and use Google map when you are offline

If you will traveling where the Internet is slow, mobile data is expensive, or you can't get online, you can save an area from Google Maps to your phone or tablet and use it when you're offline. Here is how.

1. Download an area to use offline

1) Open the Google Maps app Download an area to use offline from your phone or tablet.

2) Enter the place you will visit place, for example Chicago Botanic Garden.


3) Tap More icon and then select Download Offline area.

After you download an area, use the Google Maps app just like you normally would.
