Windows 8 WiFi has yellow exclamation mark

Case 1: Open Device Manager and right click in the wireless NIC.Update the driver.

Case 2: If there is not Windows 8 wifi driver available, install the latest windows 7 driver.

This "Media State . . . . . . . . . . . : Media disconnected" is the problem. Run Device Manager, do you have yellow Exclamation mark on the NIC? If yes, upgrade the driver. If not, install the NIC. Or go to manufacturer website to download the NIC driver.
