Solved: No Entries found when using ldifde

Postby chicagotech » Sat Mar 03, 2007 10:08 pm

When using idifde to import users, we receive this message:

ldifde -f user.ldf -s server -d "dc=domain,dc=chicagotech.
LOCOL" -p subtree -r "(&(objectCategory=person)(objectClass=User)(givenname=*))"
-l "cn,givenName,objectclass,samAccountName"
Connecting to "server"
Logging in as current user using SSPI
Exporting directory to file user.ldf
Searching for entries...
Writing out entriesldap://domain.chicagotech.locol/ ... tech.LOCOL

No Entries found

The command has completed successfully

Problem: the source domain name is domain.chicagotech.local and the target domain is ms-mvps.com. When we modify user.idf, we changed dc=domain to dc=ms-mvps only. We should delete dc=chicagotech since the source is child domain.
