How to setup our corporate domain name in azure AD

Postby blin » Tue Jan 23, 2018 1:36 pm

Q: We are moving to Azure. How to setup our corporate domain name in azure AD?

A: Whenever you create an Azure account, Azure AD directory is cerated with an initial domain name in the form of domainname.onmicrosoft.com, for example chicagotech.onmicrosoft.com. This initial domain name cannot be changed or deleted, but you can add your corporate domain name to Azure AD used to do business and users who sign in using your corporate domain name.

Creating a custom domain names to Azure AD allows you to assign user names in the directory that are familiar to your users, such as 'blin@chicagotech.net.’ instead of 'blin@chicagotech.onmicrosoft.com'.
