What does Local CMOS Clock that mean

Q: When using w32tm /query /source to check time source, I get “Local CMOS Clock”. What does that mean?

A: You must run this command on a VM. It means that there is no time synchronization going on for this virtual machine. This is a very bad thing – as time will drift inside of the virtual machine.
