Situation: when attempting to logon remotely using RDC, we receive this message:
"An attempt was made to logon, but the network logon service was not started". We have checked this page, but the account is not locked.

Case 1: make sure you enter correct computer name and username.

Case 2: make sure the user is not in the policy "Deny log on through remote desktop service properties"
