Error 5: Access is denied when trying to start the Firewall

Symptom: When you try to start the Windows firewall, you may get the Error 5: Access is denied message.

Resolutions:
1. Run "Netsh winsock reset"

2. Run "NETSH FIREWALL RESET"

3. Check this link: You cannot start the Windows Firewall service in Windows XP Service Pack 2
