run mapping script without entering password

Postby guest » Fri Oct 17, 2008 10:46 pm

Situation: Added Net Use commands to a .bat file and used GPEdit.msc to
add to the Computer Configuration>Windows Settings>Scripts>Startup section
so that the drives are mapped before the user logs in. When running at windows startup, it fails to establish the mapping and it requires the user to enter their NAS password to complete
the connection after the user signs in

Cause: This issue can occur if the network connection has not prepared
before the policy runs

Resolution: Disable fast logon and add the .bat file to the User
Configuration>Windows Settings>Scripts>Startup section.
