How to create a collection in SCCM to test software update

Postby chicagotech » Thu Jul 12, 2012 9:28 pm

Q: We are running SCCM 2007. We created a software distribution collection and want to test group computers. In the Membership Rues, I add my computer host name by going to Query Rules. After I apply it, many computers show up on the software Update collection. What is the correct way to create a group computer to test a software update?

A: The Name in the Query Rules is just described name. it is criteria. You may want to create a test collection by following this link: How to create a new collection in SCCM - http://www.howtonetworking.com/server/msccm13.htm.
