SQL Login failed state meanin

When access SQL database you may receive this error: Login failed for user 'username'. (Microsoft SQL Server, Error: 18456). If you open the error log from C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL13.MSSQLSERVER\MSSQL\Log, you may see State number. Here are the meaning of state.

State 1: Account is disabled.

State 5: Login is invalid.

State 6: Windows account used for SQL Authentication

State 7: This would appear if login is disabled AND incorrect password is provided.

State 58: SQL running under Windows only mode and SQL login is attempted.
