Can't send email as another user with error: 80070005 - Resolution with screenshots

Situation: We have assigned a UserA to send as UserB and also gave the UserA full rights to access UserB mailbox. However, UserA can't send email from UserB in Outlook. The UserA can send as UserB if he is using OWA.

This is the return message;

Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.

The following recipient(s) cannot be reached:

This message could not be sent. Try sending the message again later, or contact your network administrator. You do not have the permission to send the message on behalf of the specified user. Error is [0x80070005-0x0004dc-0x000524].


Troubleshooting:

1. With Outlook open, go to Send/Receive>Send/Receive Group, download Address Group.


2. Repair Office.

3. Reset Outlook profile.

4. Deleting everything within the “Offline Address Books” folder. To do that, close Microsoft Outlook and try deleting everything within the “Offline Address Books” folder. It will re-populate.

In Windows 8 it is located here: C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook
