Error when creating MySite

 

We are running MOSS 2007. When I try to create MySite by selecting it form I need to, I never get next page. Instead, in the left bottom corner, it shows Error on page as shown below.

 

 

 

If I click on Create a personal site, I receive Unknown Error as shown below.

 

 

A: Add entry into Alternative Access Mappings

Go to SharePoint Central Administration

Go to the operations page

Under Global Configuration, select "Alternative Access Mappings"

From the list that is displayed, determine which site you want to access from an external address

Click "Add Internal URLs"

Select the "Alternative Access Mapping Collection" that represents your choice from number 4

Enter the URL that should be used to access that site in the "Add Internal URL" field

Select a proper zone, e.g. the "Intranet" zone

Click "Save"
