Issue with creating a new
mailbox - Case Study We are running Exchange 2003 with SP2. We have an issue with creating new mailbox. We created a user two days ago. It hasn't show up in Global Address List. We also tried to update and rebuild the RUS manually. Troubleshooting: 1. in the Properties of the user, select E-mail Address, there is not any email addresses listed. 2. Select Exchange Advanced, the Group and user name is self only (no the user name and any other administrator account). 3. To test it, we just created a new user name test1234. We have the same issue. 4. No errors in the event viewer. 5. Update and rebuild Recipient Update Services (RUS). To do that, run Exchange System Manager. Click Recipients. Right click on the RUS on the left panel. Select Update/Rebuild. 6. Update Replication fixed the problem. To do that, go to Administrative Tools>Active Directory Site and Services>Site>Default-First-Site-Name>Server>servername>NTDS Settings. In the right pane, right click the partner server and select Replication Now. Note: in most cases, rebooting fixes the problem. Related Topics
