Veritas Final Error Code: a0008488 HEX (0xa0008488 HEX) or e0008488 HEX
(0xe0008488 HEX) Symptoms: 1. When you check Exchange System Manager, you may see some mailboxes with red x. 2. The Veritas backup may displays these errors: “Final Error Code: a0008488 HEX (0xa0008488 HEX) or e0008488 HEX (0xe0008488 HEX). Final Error Description: "Access is denied". Veritas Final Error Category: Security Errors. Cause: By default a deleted mailboxes will keep for 21 days. Before the mailbox be purged, you may receive above errors and the Mailbox displays red x. Resolutions: 1. You may wan to purge the deleted mailbox manually. Too do this, right-click on the mailbox, select Purge. 2. You may modify the System Policy to change the days for keeping the deleted mailbox. To do this, open System Manager>Administrator Groups>Domain name>System Policies, right-click on Mailbox Limit.
