VPN Error 868 - The remote connection was not made because the name of the remote access server did not resolve

Situation: the client uses VPN to access main office and it has been working for one year. Today he can't make the connection any more.

Troubleshooting: 1. We can't ping the VPN server by FQDN, but ping IP works fine.

2. We can establish the VPN using IP address.

3. It seems like DNS issue. On the DNS server that is running SBS 2008, we can't ping the VPN FQDN. The nslookup gets this message:

C:\Users\admin>nslookup
DNS request timed out.
timeout was 2 seconds.
