Q: Can use IP but no name
Is  there a way to browse the SBS network when connected via vpn?
I can connect to any client or server by using ip address and can set
up wins but it seems to me that there should be an easier method with SBS

A: Are you running WINS on the LAN?  This will usually get your browsing working, because the VPN client can get the domain master browser address from WINS.

If you are running WINS but browsing doesn't work, it is probably
because the client doesn't know the name of the domain, so it can't find the DMB. The client uses the netbios name <domainname    1B> to find the DMB address fromWINS.

(Note: Alternatively, you can use mlhosts or FQDS).
