Cannot access the network because of NIC settings Situation: The client setup a computer running XP Pro. It worked for a few days. Now, the computer can't access the network any more. Troubleshooting: 1. IPCONFIG /all display correct setup. 2. Can't ping any other computer by IP. 3. The NIC has green light. 4. Th4 switch port connecting to the computer has one light on and another is off. 5. The NIC is configured speed 10 with half duplex. Resolution: Re-set the NIC speed and duplex to Auto. Related Topics
