IE 11 can' use remote web workplace  - Resolution with screenshots

Q: We are running Windows Essential server 2011. After upgrade a laptop to IE 11, the user can't use connect to a computer in RWW as shown below. How can we fix it?

Resolutions:

Method 1: Add the url of the web site in the trusted site zone

a. Open Internet Explorer

b. Click Tools > Internet Options

c. Click the Security tab, and then click the Trusted sites >Sites

d. The website should be shown in the Add this website to the zone field. Click Add

e. Check if it works

Method 2: Click on “compatibility” settings and place the site in compatibility mode

a. Open Internet Explorer

b. Click Tools >Compatibility View settings

c. The website should be shown in the Add this website field. Click Add

d. Check if it helps

Method 3: Accept the ActiveX settings

a. Open Internet Explorer

b. Click Tools > Internet Options

c. On the Security tab, click the Custom level… button

d. Scroll down the Security Settings list until you see ActiveX controls and plug-ins

e. For Automatic prompting for ActiveX controls, click Enable

f. Scroll down to Download signed ActiveX controls and click Enable or Prompt

g. Scroll down to Run ActiveX controls and plug-ins and click Enable or Prompt

i. Scroll down to Script ActiveX controls marked safe for scripting and click Enable or Prompt

j. Click OK, and then click OK again.
